Crafting a smarter future
The 2012 Moldova ICT Summit builds upon the 2010 and 2011 Summit and it will gather together industry stakeholders from Government, the Moldovan and international business community, multinational companies, and academia to discuss international and national trends and challenges facing the ICT industry.
In particular, the Summit will focus on the key areas to create a viable and smart future using ICT such as digital engagement of the citizen and education focused initiatives. The event will set the scene for increased cooperation, coordination, and trust between the public and private sectors, the Moldovan ICT community, Moldovan and international partners, and IT and non-IT companies; this will lift all participants’ aspirations for building an information society in Moldova and will drive innovation that will in turn boost economic growth.
The summit this year will focus on six main tracks:
Smart Society – a forum for Moldovan business and government leaders and invited international experts to discuss Moldova’s vision and plan for ICT-enabled economic growth and government efficiency, as well as learn about upcoming development challenges for the Moldovan ICT industry both at home and abroad.
Moldova - competitive IT Industry - a combination of keynote presentations and panel discussion, a platform to feature Moldova’s export potential, competitive factors of its IT industry, as well as a discussion on opportunity to develop an IT park as means to consolidate the industry’s ecosystem. Session will have live-streaming.
ICT4Education – tackling the role and importance of education for knowledge economy and smart society, technological revolution impact on education, key issues and possible solutions, talent pipeline –from school to continuous education, importance of collaboration of all stakeholders (government, industry, academia).
ICT4Business – targeted presentations by IT companies for non-IT businesses that showcasing the IT services and solutions to demonstrate how they can boost productivity and efficiency and help businesses to grow.
Software as Craft – a place where IT professionals can listen to and interact with foreign colleagues, as well as a unique stage for local specialists to make a name. It's also a way to build and consolidate the local IT community, sparkle discussions and motivate ongoing self development.
Intelligent IT Investment for Government – a series of presentations and discussions on how the Government IT related procurement should be addressed and financed.
